Késhava - Nescient

from Nomads in Sound v3 by Various

/

about

Késhava from Estonia lives in music & sound. He's been into electronic music since 1997, when he started DJing, producing and promoting dnb as DJ Focus (at age 14 with his friend Stare). Quite soon he felt the call of east and got deeply into indian mysticism and esoteric yoga teachings. Késhava slowed down to chillout vibes and teamed up with Kaido Kirikmäe to co-host weekly chillout radioshow Kuurort (Resort) in 2005-2007. After that he's been keeping a low profile as a DJ, but still producing music. He draws inspiration from the spiritual spheres and mixes it with modern beats like dubstep, digidub and drumstep. He has recently released an EP called One World on an estonian label Lejal Globe that got played out and hyped by DJ Nihal's BBC1 asian beats show and he's found support from Cheb i Sabbah, High Chai Rec's boss dimmSummer (especially on this track Nescient) what to speak of massive local support. Késhava´s track for the Nomads In Sound compilation is a thoughtful yet progressive piece of music, meditation on the very often confused, nescient state of existence of an individual - with the goal for enlightenment - hoping to serve us all.
