Swedish chiptune-artist Sidstar creates his music on the road, with portable synths. His fifth record is inspired by electro- and rave culture from outer space. Happy-go-lucky creatures from Space travel to Earth in order to rave on Sidstar’s Alien Invasion-album. They are not here on a mission to conquer, they’re on a mission to party.

The EP is produced in a 1980s manner, with roots in the origins of computer game music. Sidstar uses a so called tracker (Dirtywave M8 Tracker), inspired by ancient technology and sound. Thereby Sidstar obtains freedom by means of technological limitations.

Sidstar’s Rave Alien Invasion album succeeds his earlier chiptune albums and EPs, inspired by computer games, synth legends and journeys to Spain and Japan. Previous releases (In Andalucia, Costa del Dub, Will Work for Churros and In Tokyo) have been played repeatedly on Swedish National Radio (Elektroniskt i P2) as well as Student Radio and featured by Juno Records as well as iTunes. In 2019, Sidstar won a competition on Swedish National Radio for his interpretation of the psalm Glorious is the Earth (Härlig är Jorden).
